Costume Designer for the Mechanicals Characters
DESCRIPTION
I was in charge of designing the main costumes for the Mechanicals and the costumes they wear for their production of Pyramus and Thisbe. I modernised their jobs to fit with the contemporary setting and to be more involved with Theseus and Hippolyta's wedding. For the play within the play, I wanted to emphasise the comedic nature of their performance so I designed their costumes to look like they've put them together themselves. I worked closely with the Props Supervisor in creating the prop elements of their play costumes and Bottom's donkey head.
